Anywho, here are some potential upsets we're looking at.

NO. 3 SEED NOTRE DAME COULD FALL EARLY

  • The Fighting Irish have had crap luck. Star guard Dara Mabrey tore her ACL in January, and now the team's best overall player, Olivia Miles, is sidelined with a knee injury.

  • It's unclear if Miles, who averages 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists will return in the tournament.

  • Notre Dame lost 64-38 in the ACC Tournament against Louisville without her. Yikes.

NO. 11 SEED UNLV COULD BE A CINDERELLA

  • It's difficult to gauge how good the 31-2 Runnin' Rebels are because of their weak schedule.

  • But this team hasn't lost in 2023 and has a true star.

  • Desi-Rae Young is Her Hoops Stats' seventh-best player by win share numbers, averaging 18.0 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

  • In the opening round, UNLV plays No. 6 seed Michigan, which has lost four of its last six games.

NO. 5 SEED LOUISVILLE'S LOOKIN' VULNERABLE

  • The Cardinals reached last year's Final Four, but after losing both Emily Engstler and Kiana Smith to the WNBA Draft, theyā€™re struggling.

  • Louisville's lost by 18 to Middle Tennessee and 19 to Ohio State. Even unranked Gonzaga and South Dakota State were able to pull off early season double-digit wins against them.

  • A 5-seed feels generous for the Cards.

  • In the opening round, Louisville will face No. 12 seed Drake, which took No. 4 overall Iowa to overtime, lost by just four points to No. 18 Creighton, and beat No. 22 Nebraska this year.

WILL THE REAL NO. 4 SEED TENNESSEE SHOW UP?

  • With a pair of future WNBA players in Jordan Horston and Rickea Jackson, the preseason No. 5 overall Volunteers have too much talent to be as so-so as they were this season.

  • The team showed what they can do when they play to their potential, handing LSU its second loss of the season to reach the SEC tournament final last week.

  • But they've also lost to the other eight ranked teams they've played this year.

  • Tennessee plays No. 13 seed Saint Louis in the first round, and would face either No. 5 seed Iowa State or No. 12 seed Toledo to reach the Sweet 16.

Bet on the Tennessee Lady Vols to win the National Championship

The No. 4 seed is tied for the 12th-best odds to win the title, according to FanDuel. At +13000, a $10 bet on the Vols would win $1,300.

There isnā€™t much available at the sportsbooks so far, which isā€¦ fascinating considering the countless betting options on the table for the menā€™s tournament. Still, there are two types of futures bets you can take, one of which you donā€™t see every year.

Bet on the Stanford Cardinal to win the National Championship

Tara Vanderveerā€™s team is tied for the second-best odds to win the title according to FanDuel. At +800, a $10 bet on the Cardinal could win $80.

How many of you know about LSUā€™s hoops, rapping, and Americaā€™s Got Talent sensation, Flauā€™jae Johnson?

šŸŸ  Rickea Jackson to return to Tennessee for 5th year šŸŸ

Jackson was considered a first-round pick for next monthā€™s WNBA draft, with the potential to be taken in the lottery. This is a surprising decision, but one that should make Vols fans happy!
